We Know Snow

Snow Genius was created to solve a problem that every skier eventually faces:

“Which pass should I buy?”

What sounds like a simple question has become surprisingly complicated.

Today, skiers must navigate dozens of pass products, hundreds of participating resorts, blackout restrictions, age-based pricing, military discounts, regional products, and constantly changing access rules. Finding the best option often requires hours of research, spreadsheets, and more browser tabs than anyone wants to admit.

We believed there had to be a better way.

Where We Started

Snow Genius began with a simple goal:

Help skiers make smarter season pass decisions.

What started as a personal frustration quickly became a much larger project. We began collecting pass pricing, access rules, resort information, eligibility requirements, and coverage details across North America.

The result is Expert Mode — our first product and the foundation of the Snow Genius platform.

Expert Mode

Expert Mode is Snow Genius’s pass recommendation engine.

Instead of manually comparing pass products, riders can enter where they plan to ski, how many days they expect to visit each resort, and information about their group.

Expert Mode then evaluates supported pass products and recommends the most cost-effective strategy.

Today, Expert Mode supports products from major pass families including:

• Ikon

• Epic

• Indy

• Mountain Collective

And we’re continuing to expand coverage every season.

Our Philosophy

Most ski pass tools start with the pass.

We start with the skier.

We believe recommendations should be based on actual ski plans, not marketing materials or generic rankings.

Snow Genius focuses on helping riders answer practical questions:
